About the Opportunity
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team based in Altona. You will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling sales strategies to achieve annual growth targets for Victorian and Tasmanian markets.  You will develop sales of plasterboard and associated products within all channels to market and stakeholders.  You will achieve this through leading, motivating, coaching and developing the sales team and each individual within it, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service standards within the region.

What you'll do

  • P&L responsibility for the region
  • Increase market share of plasterboard
  • Negotiate commercial contracts with end user builders and merchant channel
  • Improving margins through a disciplined approach to pricing and managing costs
  • Manage strategic customer relationships and implement customer growth plans.
  • Track construction project activity opportunities, target and measure success
  • Coordinate customer presentations and product training, highlighting company product and service capabilities as part of a planned strategy to drive profitable growth
  • Assist with annual budget and strategy development and prepare business unit presentations for delivery to Executives.

What you'll bring

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Sales and Leadership capacity; ideally within the Building Materials (or similar) industry
  • Experienced leader that has proven results in developing a high performing team and achieving set KPI’s
  • Passionate about managing Key Accounts and hunting for new ones
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, unsupervised as well as contribute to a strong team environment
  • Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications would be highly regarded
  • Existing relationships with residential builders or merchants would be advantageous
  • Continuous improvement mindset
