Reporting to the Global Head of HR for Fibre Cement, you will be instrumental in driving transformational change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and delivering value-added, commercially focused HR support.

Our UK & Ireland commercial team is based in Burton‑on‑Trent and we have Fibre Cement plant in Athy, Ireland.

Location: The role can be based in Athy, with regular travel to the UK, or in Burton-on-Trent, with regular and more frequent travel to Athy.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver strategic, commercially focused business partnering by coaching and advising senior leaders and site managers to drive performance and value.
  • Serve as a strategic SLT HR Business Partner delivering high‑quality, business‑focused HR support that aligns people initiatives with divisional strategy, safety mission and company values.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, driving organisational performance, enabling transformation, and elevating the employee experience across the full lifecycle.
  • Build positive labour and employee relations; provide transparency on people metrics.
  • Use data analysis to identify trends and drive actionable insights.
  • Implement best-in-class HR strategies, policies, processes, and systems, ensuring alignment with Group and country initiatives, employee lifecycle calendars, and applicable legislation.

  

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate HR strategy into measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Highly developed business partnering, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of labour relations, including experience working within unionised environments, and a strong understanding of employment legislation across the UK and Ireland. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in complex international environments is advantageous.
