You will lead and manage Technical Support Department to implement company technical development strategy to grow level of expertise across brands and provide market leading technical support and advice to customers and colleagues. Manage technical risk, maintain budgetary control and develop solutions in line with legislation and national standards.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and develop technical detailing using professional judgement
  • Anticipate future customer needs including software development
  • Analyse product portfolio performance and benchmark our products and systems to develop new or alternative solutions to provide technical and commercial advantage
  • Work in tandem with Product Manager to Identify technical opportunities for commercial development.
  • Plan and manage testing schedule for products and sytems in line with regulatory and market requirements
  • Develop technical improvement programmes, schedule and provide training for colleagues and business partners, including CPDs and presentations to architects, engineers and students.
  • Manage day to day enquiries from customers and colleagues across the product portfolio
  • Develop full suite of technical details across the product portfolio in relevant formats
  • Identifying existing and potential specification opportunities for your product portfolio
  • Implement use of OneCRM when dealing with technical enquires, queries and complaints to ensure sales and colleagues are aware for timely follow up where required

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Practical experience in the construction or related industry
  • Similar experience within a fast paced, technical support role
  • Ability to read, measure and quantify materials from dimensioned drawings
  • Commercial awareness of impact of Technical decisions on providing profitable solutions
  • Understand link between product specification and performance and how manufacturing process can impact on performance
