NZ Sales Manager

Summary

As the NZ Sales Manager, you will lead business development and sales activities for our INNOVA fibre cement product range across New Zealand. You’ll guide a National sales team, build strong relationships with key industry partners, and drive strategic initiatives that grow market share and profitability.

 

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll influence national sales strategy, champion customer excellence, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across operations, technical, and marketing.

What you'll do

  • Communicate corporate strategies and ensure alignment across the sales function
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to strengthen technical, product, and soft skills
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Negotiate contracts with builders, specifiers, and distributors
  • Grow our high‑margin Innova product range and increase EBITDA
  • Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage strategic customer relationships and implement growth plans
  • Coordinate client presentations, product training, and new product launches
  • Ensure exceptional customer care standards across the team and wider organisation

What you'll bring

You’re an experienced sales leader with a strong background in the building and construction industry. You bring:

  • Proven success in business development with builders, architects and hardware channels
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach and engage your team
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A deep understanding of the building process and related materials
  • A results‑driven mindset with a track record of achieving KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Outstanding time management and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
