About the role

Our Finance team consists of 3 departments

  • Business Partner Sales (commercial performance & turnover)
  • Business Partner Operations (industrial performance: production, logistics, distribution and cost of sales)
  • Business Services hereafter "EBS" (support functions)


In this role, you’ll be reporting to the Global Head of Etex Business Service and take responsibility for 5 companies’ accuracy and compliance of the financial statements with French and IAS/IFRS standards. Working closely with the Finance Business Partners and the company management, you’ll be leading accounting, tax, credit management, and all cash activities, managing relationships with the banks and the statutory auditors. You’ll actively contribute to continuous improvement and harmonisation projects for financial processes, leading on change activities when required.


Role responsibilities: 

  • Production of the Financial Statements
  • Ensure the quality, proximity and compliance of the EBS France Finance services provided to internal clients
  • Supervise the accounting of the companies within your scope and produce the financial statements in French and IAS/IFRS standards for the Finance Business Partner and the general management within the deadlines
  • Supervise the cash management and collection services and as such, actively participate in the improvement of cash flow within the scope, in particular by providing the Finance Business Partners with short (3 months) and medium term cash flow analysis statements (Rolling Forecast - 18 months)
  • Supervise the tax department and ensure the timely provision of tax returns in accordance with current legislation

Project management

  • Actively participate in the transformation and continuous improvement projects implemented by the Group as part of the standardisation and harmonisation of processes by promoting the digitalisation of processes (in particular on the Procurement and Payroll projects)
  • In a context of sharing competences and optimizing costs in the Finance function, continue the transformation project within EBS France aimed at finalising the transfer of transactional activities to the Shared Service Centre, improve the performance of EBS France
  • Lead the change management by executing strong project management and clear communication planning

People Management

  • Manage, coach, and develop  a team of 22 people, including 6 direct reports
  • Ensure optimum quality of service to all internal clients of EBS France
  • Establish effective performance management, set individual objectives and ensure regular follow-ups
  • Continuously enhanced team’s capabilities
  • Overhead cost controlling and reinvoicing
  • Supervise the processes for monitoring general and administrative costs: accounting process, personnel cost monitoring process, forecasting and monthly control/monitoring process
  • Continue the analysis of the existing situation and the improvement of rebilling between Group companies in France (entities, contracts, amounts, etc.) 
  • Supervise, in coordination with the tax department, tax compliance and the reliability of documentation


  • Implement internal control processes and procedures and ensure the implementation of a continuous improvement plan within the companies
  • Manage the Finance information systems
  • Manage the relationship with the banks
  • Manage the relationship with the statutory auditors

About you
What we are looking for

  • Proven experience working in a Finance Management leadership role within an industrial ETI environment
  • Good knowledge of SAP accounting tool and IT tools and software: MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and data analysis tools (AO; Power BI)
  • Good knowledge and use of French and international accounting standards IAS/IFRS
  • Knowledge of taxation and company law 
  • The ability to manage complex projects and drive change in the organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Language skills : Must be fluent in French and English
