As an Area Sales Manager, you will work with both existing and prospective customers to drive sales, profitability, and regional growth. The role combines elements of business development and account management, evolving over time to focus more on specification and technical sales. You’ll promote Etex’s tested Thruwall systems and related products by leveraging relationships with Framework Partners and converting opportunities into Sub-Contractor orders. Managing the full sales cycle, you’ll collaborate across teams and maintain accurate CRM data to support visibility and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with existing and prospective customers to maximise sales and profitability within the assigned region
  • Promote Etex’s Thruwall system and related products, securing orders via Framework Partners and Sub-Contractors
  • Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to pricing, securing, and delivery to site
  • Utilise Salesforce CRM to track opportunities, manage pipelines, log meetings, and share updates across teams
  • Arrange and attend meetings (in-person and online) to present full Etex solutions and ensure customer understanding
  • Collaborate across the Etex Group to generate leads, share market intelligence, and drive group-wide sales initiatives
  • Oversee all design orders, ensuring project milestones are met and programme timelines are adhered to
  • Maintain regular contact with key clients and tendering Sub-Contractors to ensure pricing is received, clear, and competitive
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to CRM, including meeting notes, task follow-ups, and sales activity reporting

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven external sales experience (account management and/or business development) within the construction industry
  • Comfortable with a high level of travel
  • Experience in drylining or cladding is highly advantageous
  • Strong relationship builder with natural empathy and the ability to connect with clients
  • A team player with a personable, professional approach
  • Resilient, tenacious, and proactive in driving opportunities forward
  • Confident presenter – experience delivering CPDs, bid reviews, or client meetings is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and the ability to read technical drawings is advantageous
