Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and general reliability of the PLC & SCADA systems across new Bristol Plant expansion!  

 

What you’ll do:

  • The role is varied and covers everything from the field I/O through to the automation software the systems run on
  • Carry out the installation and upgrades of Rockwell software and their host operating systems
  • Perform routine backup tasks and maintain / execute disaster recovery plans relating to the automation network
  • Carry out PLC level training to others on the site to improve their understanding and abilities
  • Debug and write PLC code for the Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC environment. This also extends to debugging PLC messaging, PID loop tuning, and the adding and replacement of new devices on Ethernet/IP

What you’ll bring

  • A strong understanding of Allen Bradley PLCS
  • A strong understanding of Rockwell SCADA systems
  • Similar experience within an automation background
