CBM Engineer

Etex are seeking a CBM Engineer to join the Building Performance team!

Location: Bristol


What you’ll do:

The CBM Engineer will report into the Senior Engineer, and will be responsible for developing, expanding, and managing plant CBM, monitoring plant health and providing and communication accurate, reliable risk indicators to the wider department and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.
  • Collection and analysis of vibration, temperature, and ultrasonic readings.
  • Collection and analysis of oil sampling.
  • Detection and analysis of air leaks.
  • Preparation and issuing of CBM reports.
  • Quantifying and tracking cost avoidance savings.
  • Asset and analysis database/CMMS management and planning.
  • Manage/update asset criticality registers.
  • Assistance to close out CBM actions on site.
  • Involvement on other CBM activities: Infra-red Thermography, Gas leak surveys
  • Project involvement – advise project managers during development phase on potential CBM equipment input for new projects.
  • Participating in RCA sessions such as the EWO/8D process.
  • Working with the production and quality operations teams to effectively plan rectification work decreasing unscheduled equipment downtime.
  • To carry out any reasonable request as instructed by a senior member of the management team

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in CBM and Plant Asset care
  • Problem solving on a wide variety of mechanical systems
  • Experience of participating in RCA processes
  • 5s Improvement Projects
  • Excellent process knowledge of plasterboard manufacturing plants
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages – Word, excel, PowerPoint, Project SAP PM
  • Recognised apprenticeship in NVQ Level 3 or above
  • CAT 2 CBM certified (essential)
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
  • Air leak detection
  • Ultrasonic inspection
  • SAP PM
