About the role

Etex are on the lookout for an Day Electrical Technician!

Bristol (BS20)

Competitive Salary Depending on Experience

You will bridge the gap between the senior operations team and the day-to-day operations of the plaster mill. You will carry out the PPM and REACTIVE tasks within the plaster mill with ownership and responsibility over the assets and ME (machine efficiency) results. You will work closely with you're mechanical counterpart to ensure efficiency and reliability is maintained at a high level. You will be expected to:

Comply with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.
Maintenance of machinery and equipment to meet customer and reliability requirements and maintaining equipment in the Workshop.
Site maintenance electrical preventative maintenance duties.
Working on PLC & AC drives, carrying out routine maintenance
Undertaking PM tasks utilising skills and experience to identify opportunities for improvement.
Project involvement including assisting the project team to achieve the required outcome.
Creating and completing accurate records and logs of maintenance activities in the business CMMS
Participating in RCA sessions such as the EWO process
LV Isolations and Maintenance
Undertaking basic CBM inspections
Working with the production and quality operations teams to optimise plant parameters to exceed BP, ME and OEE Metrics
To carry out any reasonable request as instructed by a senior member of the management team.

About you

You will be expected to:

Work in a warm and dusty environment.
Willing to work overtime during maintenance periods.
Be Self-motivating and able to work as part of a team and individually.
Good communication skills.
Able to carry out assigned tasks.

The following work experience would be beneficial:

- Worked in the manufacturing industry or equivalent

- Has worked with AC systems

- Has worked with 3-phase motor and VSD

- Has worked with 4-20 mA instrumentation and control

- Has worked on/with PLC’s (Allen Bradley)

- Can read Electrical drawings

- Competent fault found in electrical / MCC panels
