This is a strategic role focused on transforming organisational culture, embedding a proactive and positive safety mindset, and ensuring compliance across multiple sites. The successful candidate will bring a strong leadership presence to drive sustainable improvements and align teams with our safety and environmental goals.

Location: Hybrid role with travel across the UK and Ireland (multi-site)
 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support all Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance matters across operational and non-operational teams

  • Drive a consistent, positive safety culture through visible leadership, coaching, and clear communication

  • Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and keep the business audit-ready at all times

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to operational and non-operational management across the UK and Ireland

  • Develop and manage EHS improvement plans, incorporating findings from internal and external audits

  • Contribute to the development of performance plans and manage the EHS budget across the Business Unit

  • Actively participate in national and international EHS forums, promoting collaboration and sharing of best practices

  • Engage and train colleagues at all levels, making safety relatable, actionable, and embedded in daily operations

What you’ll bring:

  • NEBOSH-qualified (or equivalent) with a strong technical understanding of EHS frameworks and legislation

  • Proven experience transforming safety culture within industrial or commercial settings

  • Experience managing H&S teams and driving results through others

  • Demonstrable multi-site experience is essential, ideally across the UK and Ireland

  • A passion for EHS and a natural ability to engage teams with clarity, empathy, and authority

  • Strong influencing and communication skills across all levels of the business

  • Ability to simplify complex EHS issues and embed them into everyday routines and behaviours
