Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this role plays a critical part in supporting Etex’s operations across the UK and Ireland, offering pragmatic legal advice that aligns with our commercial objectives.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic legal counsel that balances risk with commercial priorities.
  • Influence key business decisions by offering swift, solutions-focused legal support across a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Advise on a broad range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Oversee dispute resolution, litigation management and the selection and supervision of external legal counsel.
  • Manage legal risks proactively, providing pragmatic, solutions-focused advice to stakeholders across functions.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assessing potential impacts and advising business leaders accordingly.
  • Contribute to global legal projects, fostering strong collaboration with colleagues across the Etex Group.
  • Lead and develop a small legal team, supporting their growth and ensuring high performance within the function.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with an up-to-date practising certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing strategic legal advice within complex, commercial environments; exposure to construction law and the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities in a fast-paced, complex organisation.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic advisory skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • This role is hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
