Etex are looking for a Market Manager to look after our direct accounts for Siniat and Promat Brands.

Unlike marketing manager positions, this role will not only be focused on marketing, it drives commercial excellence; looking at customer needs, sales analysis, product promotions, and links to our growth ambitions.

Location: Bristol Head Office (Hybrid Working) with regular UK Travel

Competitive Salary and Bonus Depending on Experience + Car Allowance


What you’ll do:

Reporting into the Head of Marketing (UK), the Market Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies targeting specific attractive market segments in the UK.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

  • Effectively contributing to the overall Marketing strategy through successfully collecting and analysing direct customer trends and getting the true voice of the customer
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the markets in which the UK business operates – sectors, customer types, routes to market, competitors, and key market trends
  • Working with other marketing colleagues, develops and implements product and service offers, and communications and promotional plans, to fulfil the value propositions for the target segments
  • Establishing action plans and targets and gains commitment to them across marketing and commercial functions. Track progress and ensure corrective actions are put in place where necessary
  • Understanding the commercial levers available to maximise opportunities and / or negate competitive threats and realise UK’s financial and business objectives
  •  Working hand in hand with Sales Management to drive the commercial agenda and ensure that the Sales segment strategies are communicated clearly and are well understood
  • Working closely with other Marketing colleagues and technical teams both in the region and in divisional and Group R&D centers to develop solutions which meet the needs of target segments
  • Participating in experience and best practice sharing with other marketing and commercial colleagues from other Etex businesses across the world

 

What you’ll bring

Critical and Important:

  • You will have demonstrable experience in creation, delivery and implementation of value propositions
  • Extensive experience and successful track record in B2B Marketing / Business Development
  • You can demonstrate the ability to work closely with customers / decision makers and gain insight using sophisticated interview techniques
  • You will be tenacious - seeing projects through from beginning to end with analytical thinking
  • You will be articulate – strong and confident communicator
  • You will be a strong team-worker – able to work effectively alone or within a team, and comfortable within a matrix organization
  • You will possess strong commercial acumen to understand the needs and drivers of the merchant and commercial distribution customers
  • You will hold a Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a business-related discipline; or in a construction-related discipline with demonstrably successful marketing experience

 

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • Some experience of, or exposure to, working in an international group
  • Post-graduate degree in a Marketing / Business related discipline
