The Product Manager will help drive the Promat UK Growth Strategy and will need to work with manufacturing plants in EU / China and with Promat Platform Team for new product development for current and future market needs.

You will be responsible for maximising ongoing sustainable profitability of the Passive Fire Protection product portfolio, through strategic and tactical management of the existing portfolio, and through addressing key portfolio gaps and opportunities through the NPD and Innovation processes.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure strong link of Product Management team with Sales.  Participate in visits to customers with Sales Managers and Sales Representative
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of competitors and substitute product offer.
  • Monitor market developments and identify business opportunities and threats for an assigned product portfolio (e.g. channels, regulations, new products, substitute materials, technology, costs…).
  • Regularly analyse and report customers’ satisfaction and needs (quality, performance, availability, delivery…).
  • In cooperation with sales, ensure up to date knowledge of competitor moves and actions and drive fast response if required.
  • Monitor the profitability of all products across the portfolio
  • Monitor & Assess the adequacy/consistency of existing product range and marketing mix within the product portfolio, propose improvements and manage the improvement process
  • Feed into the Strategic Review for the BU and develop action plans to support this and deliver the objectives coming from the review.
  • Propose budget targets for the assigned portfolio.
  • Design and submit to the market managers the marketing plans for each product range and manage the implementation of the plan(s).
  • In cooperation with UK marketing team / Communication manager, propose product promotion strategy and tools with channel, specifiers, installers

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with Passive Fire Protection Products within the UK
  • Product management and / or Commercial experience, most of which in a Business to Business (B2B) environment.
  • A working knowledge of the construction industry and the routes to market.
  • An understanding of the importance of sales and customer relationships.
