Project Engineer

Etex are seeking a Project Engineer to join the Building Performance Team!

Location: Bristol Plant – Travel to Ferrybridge site as and when the business requires

What you’ll do:

The Project Engineer will report into the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, and will be responsible for executing Capital Projects for the Bristol site in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing projects from conception through to completion
  • Tracking progress accurately including costs and risks, throughout the project stages
  • Full integrating projects into the work environment through the implementation of risk assessments, method statements, advising on routine maintenance plans, advising on equipment stores stock requests, commissioning, production handover, and project closure.
  • Leading by example at all times, with safety being the priority.
  • Acquiring physical resources, communicating with all parties, negotiating with suppliers and contractors to optimise value
  • Identifying project opportunities, showing innovation and highly considering safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Managing multiple multi-discipline team, both internal employees and external contractors, to deliver project objectives on time, within scope and on budget
  • Proactively looking for process improvement opportunities that would positively impact the organisations goals and objectives
  • Ensuring that CDM 2007 /2015 Regulations are applied to projects when required and are managed accordingly

 

What you’ll bring:

  • You will be able to demonstrate strong project management, organizational and detail orientated skills
  • You will have the ability to manage project team members at all levels
  • You will be able to communicate effectively to all audiences and organizational levels
  • You will have the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Problem solving and analytical skills (Six Sigma – Green Belt would be an advantage)
  • PTW experience and practical control essential
  • Contract tendering / review / negotiation
  • Well-rounded knowledge or experience in Mechanical, Electrical & Automation Engineering
  • Practical experience of budget control, purchasing, cash flows and payback.
  • Performance driven; results orientated.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering
  • Formal Project Management qualifications (Desirable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely – 4-day course (Desirable
