Etex are seeking a Quality and Process Engineer to join the team based in Bristol!

£28,000 - £35,000 Depending on Experience

Summary of role

The role supports the company objectives for safe working, consistent product quality, improving reliability and efficiency, and environmental compliance.

  • You will be responsible for daily quality and process support to the manufacturing operations at Bristol.

What you'll do

  • Use continuous improvement tools and techniques to drive performance of the plant
  • Support the vision, priorities, and performance plan of the plant
  • ensure the workplace organisation or 6S standards in the laboratory and office areas are maintained
  • Daily quality and process support to the manufacturing operation - Highlight any trends and investigate root causes of deviations.
  • Monthly Process Reporting
  • Ensure that all quality documents relating to your activities are maintained up-to-date and available. Ensure all documentation produced complies with ETEX standards
  • Lead and support in any trials carried out in the plant.
  • Conduct or direct any sampling and testing required to evaluate the results or effectiveness of any trial carried out
  • Project Work: Implemented as allocated by Line Manager
  • Work in compliance with the company Quality & Environmental policies at all times
  • Any reasonable task as allocated by your manager in line with company goals and values

What you'll bring

Enthusiastic, ability to work alone and as part of a team, has an investigative mind, takes ownership and uses initiative

Essential: 

  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexible approach to working hours when needed (infrequent)
  • A level and/or HNC/HND qualification in science/ technical/maths subject(s)

Important/Desirable: 

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Good or excellent Math and data analysis skills
  • Demonstrable relevant industry experience in a processing/ manufacturing environment
  • Experience in statistical analysis
  • Experience of quality control
  • Understanding of quality management principles
  • Laboratory Experience

Education: 

Degree level education (science/mathematical/technical degree) - Desirable 

Candidates with significant QA/lab/process improvement/ problem solving experience in a relevant field will be considered even if they do not have a degree, provided they can demonstrate strong aptitude in Maths, English and science subject and are computer literate.
