Etex are seeking a Regional Account Manager to join the Building Performance Team!

Location: Home based – covering home counties

Regular Regional Travel

Competitive Salary Depending on Experience + Car Allowance

What you’ll do:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to –

  • To ensure Etex Building Performance maintains/ improves market position via sales of plasterboard and Dry Lining Accessories
  • To ensure customer contact is maintained with existing and prospective customers in the Merchant sector 
  • To seek the best commercial performance for Etex within guidelines laid down by management
  • develop a strong working relationship with staff within the merchant sector at branch and regional level
  • Supporting the National Account Managers and the wider National Account team/ also supporting the Commercial Teams when required
  • To support product promotions with key National Account customers which are aligned to the product marketing activity in Etex Building Performance
  • To review Business plans and the actions that flow from these plans
  • To deliver value propositions and drive value creation with our key National customers
  • To work closely with the Management team to meet customer requirements and ensure the strategy for National Accounts is delivered
  • Contributing to the Etex Building Performance commercial strategy for the Merchant sector
  • With the use of virtual meetings and other tools, develop, maintain, and nurture customer relationships to meet and exceed the performance requirements of the agreed customer base
  • Supporting branch openings, trade days, sales days
  • Trouble shooting - Branch visits
  • Analyse underperformance and work with the team to create action plans that address areas for improvement
  • Supporting the Sales and Marketing team as required with ad hoc requirements
  • Regular telephone calls/virtual meetings with selected customers to an agreed call plan
  • Analyse customer sales performance and work with the team to address areas of underperformance
  • Stock profiling analysis
  • Identify upselling and cross selling opportunities
  • Manage and distribute relevant leads and opportunities
  • Identify customer training requirements and assist with roll out of training modules

What you’ll bring:

Critical and Important:

  • Proven internal sales experience
  • Strong phone presence and experience with achieving set calls rates per day
  • Good influencing and persuasive skills
  • Be proficient with Microsoft and associated web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively

 

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • A suitable level of technical awareness of buildings and how they are constructed, including applicable building regulations and standards
