Reporting into the Reliability Engineer, this role this role will play a huge part in delivering reliable performance, throughput and de-carbonisation for our plant, through team development, coaching, and mentoring and driving a culture of Reliability centred maintenance.

 

You will oversee all daily operations of the plant, ensure all necessary RCA are completed, have budgetary control of your area and drive improvements in all aspects of reliability and energy efficiency of the plant.

 

We are on the lookout for a qualified and competent industrial Electrical engineer, with a good general understanding of all electrical systems, such as PLC & Automation, networking, SCADA, AC drive systems and general material handling systems.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Single point of contact for Electrical Management of operations in your area (Calcination, BL1 and VAP)
  • Ownership of Electrical Budget for your area
  • Preparing shutdown plans and organising contractor work packages to be handed to the preventative team to be carried out
  • Using the business CMMS to build a yearly standard maintenance plan for repetitive frequency tasks and forecasting yearly baseline budget requirements (both downtime and financial)
  • Liaise with the Engineering Cell and the customers to achieve better than budget OEE and ME figures
  • Creating, developing and management of an FMECA database for the plant
  • Supporting the reliability manager and reliability engineer for the development of new maintenance plans for the plant
  • Ensuring the AM/PM 7 step methodology is supported and followed for each area of plant, supported by the CI team
  • Determining optimal plant standards and operating conditions and formulating improvement plans within your team to bring your specific area of plant to a best-in-class standard
  • Monitoring reactive trends and implementing plans and systems of work to prevent repeat episodes
  • Ownership of Continuous Improvement activities including de-carbonisation projects and throughput improvement projects from introduction to completion within the Engineering team
  • Supporting projects both CAPEX and otherwise within the plant
  • Line management & development of the PM Engineer and automation engineer

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience within a similar electrical engineering position, within the manufacturing industry
  • A good general understanding of all electrical systems, such as PLC & Automation, networking, SCADA, AC drive systems and general material handling systems
  • Knowledge of PPM and continuous improvement techniques
  • People management experience, with the ability to push and drive development of your team
  • An organized self-starter, with a keen eye for innovation
