Supply Planner - Raw Materials

This is a fixed term role for 6 months.
What You'll Do:
- Manage day‑to‑day raw material replenishment and inventory across UK manufacturing sites to meet production schedules.
- Monitor and analyze supply plans and material usage to identify and resolve potential supply risks or shortages.
- Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials with the correct quality and quantity.
- Apply and review statistical safety stock models to set appropriate buffer stock levels based on demand and lead‑time variability.
- Lead supplier performance management, including tracking metrics and driving supplier performance improvement plans.
- Manage obsolete and slow‑moving inventory (OSMI) by analysing trends and coordinating actions to minimise financial impact.
- Analyse inventory variances, waste, and write‑offs to identify root causes and implement corrective process improvements.
- Develop and maintain key inventory and supplier KPIs, taking corrective actions to ensure performance targets are achieved.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, multi‑site Supply Chain environment and in a Supply Planning role using DD/MRP.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and MRP‑based systems for replenishment and planning.
- Strong understanding of inventory management techniques, including safety stock and optimisation.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, multitask, and perform under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with senior management, cross‑functional teams, and suppliers.
