About the Opportunity

In this exciting newly created career opportunity, the Specification & Sales Manager QLD will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the EQUITONE brand by identifying, developing, and managing specification opportunities within the architectural, design, and construction markets. This role is pivotal in building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as architects, developers, builders and contractors, to increase brand awareness, secure project specifications, and convert them into sales.

What you'll do

  • Drive Specifications: Generate market-leading specifications for EQUITONE's range of through-coloured fibre cement panels, each with distinct characteristics to support various design aesthetics.
  • Provide Expert Support: Deliver best-in-class service and support across the entire project lifecycle, from initial architectural consultations through to supporting installers.
  • Champion Our Value: Articulate and deliver the complete high-value solutions EQUITONE offers, solving problems for our clients.
  • Grow Market Share: Contribute to our ambitious goal of increasing sales volumes beyond the current band, leveraging our new size and strength within the fibre cement segment.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with architects, builders, contractors and our distribution partners to understand evolving design needs and champion our sustainable, innovative material solutions (e.g., Cradle to Cradle Certified® products).

What you'll bring

  • A true passion for architecture, design, and sustainable building materials.
  • Proven experience in architectural sales or business development, preferably within the building materials or facade industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic ANZ team.

 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field will be highly regarded. 
  • Additional experience or training in facade systems or building materials will be highly regarded. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in specification sales, technical sales, or business development within the building and construction industry. 
  • Proven track record of developing and managing specifications through the design and construction lifecycle. 
  • Experience delivering CPDs and product presentations to architects and consultants. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
