About the role

The Plant BP provides financial leadership to the capentras factory(ies). He/she is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management. He/she will deliver value to the plant by animating action plans to improve financial performance. The Plant BP will be responsible for maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company’s internal control policies.

This position reports directly to the FBPO France with strong dotted line to the plant manager.

This individual may be responsible for leadership of non-financial plant administrative processes such as sourcing, information systems, payroll, scheduling, warehouse and shipping

Missions 1

1. Operations planning

· Participates in the development of operational objectives in the 3 year Masterplan process, that is aligned to Group and Division strategic objectives.

· Performs and shares analysis to address financial risks and opportunities on a regular basis.

· Leads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results and shareholder value is optimized.

· Supports the S&OP process in close collaborations with supply chain.

· Owns the financial aspects of the Capex process: active participation and final (co)sign-off of capex opportunity and feasibility studies, follow-up of the projects in SAP till the timely and complete closing, activation of the assets, follow-up of the costs, post mortem analysis,…

2. Financial and Operational Controls

· Ensures that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to group policies and governmental regulations.

· Acts as contact person for external auditors, EBS and Internal Control and specifically inventories (ensuring proper inventory valuation through deviations analysis, regular stock count, inventory accuracy, provisions build-up in compliance with Group and local accounting rules and in parternship with supply chain).

3. Reporting and analysis

· Performs the plant’s monthly/annual closing process in conjunction with the EBS team and in adherence to Etex accouting principes.

· Prepares and delivers the plant financial forecasts, following group’s guidelines.

· Communicates results effectively to management and non-financial personnel.

· Provides in-depth analysis on variances and action plan to remediate.

· Leads the Cost Performance Tracker process, ensures the collection of the initiatives, challenges them, clarify financial impacts calculation, proactively searches for new initiatives and ensures proper costs tracking, working in close collaboration with CI.

· Accountable for the calculation of the standard costing implemented in SAP/BPC.

· Leads actions in line with achieving targets, mitigating risk and prioritizing resource needs

· Provides insightful and competitive analytics that anticipate change and drive decision making

· Provides investment analysis

· Educates plant personnel on key performance metrics

5. Cross-functional leadership and team contribution

· Work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, division or group objectives

· Shares best practices across division, i.e, process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changes.

· Aligns teams and resources in order to solve problems and drive results.

· Provides support to team members at plant, divisions and group level, through the ownership of a Group process as Subject Matter Expert (SME)

· Plays a key role in the Safety leadership culture of the plant, leading by example and actively participating in all H&S initiatives at plant/company level.

6. Leading and developing talent

· Creates an environment where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation systems and utilization of people.

· Acts as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business providing education and training on the key principles of Finance

· Invests in the growth and development of their direct reports and other identified talent in their organization.

Profile

Language & IT Skills

· English (fluent written and verbal communication, incl. presentation skills) + local language, pending the region.

· Proficiency in Excel (incl Analysis for Office and BPC), SAP, Power BI

Required Education· Master’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required.
