We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to help drive operational excellence, optimize manufacturing processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement across our operations.
Your impact
In this role, you will play a key part in improving manufacturing performance by identifying opportunities for optimization, implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, and leading projects that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to sustainable operational improvements and support Etex's journey toward manufacturing excellence.
What you'll do
Process Optimization & Manufacturing Excellence
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity
- Analyze production data and operational KPIs to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Monitor and report key manufacturing performance indicators, including OEE, scrap rates, cycle times, and productivity metrics
- Drive initiatives that improve process stability, reliability, and operational performance
Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
- Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, TPM, and waste elimination
- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and problem-solving activities across the plant
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support the development of a continuous improvement culture through coaching and knowledge sharing
Project Management & Operational Support
- Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
- Support new product introductions, production line setup, and validation activities
- Contribute to strategic manufacturing projects, capacity expansion initiatives, and operational excellence programs
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations
Documentation & Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and improve work instructions, process documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
- Support sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, resource utilization, and energy efficiency
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing teams
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment within Continuous Improvement, Production Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operational Excellence
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work
- Experience working with manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and data-driven approach
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, or other manufacturing systems is considered an advantage
- Six Sigma certification or practical Six Sigma experience is considered an advantage
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
