What you'll do
This is an exciting career opportunity for a State Sales Manager to join our team based in Altona. Reporting to the Country Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the name Promat becomes synonymous with the words “fire protection” and becomes the ‘natural’ choice for specifiers and contractors when fire protection is required.
Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the sales of Promat boards, fire stopping products and systems in VIC/TAS to the following, but not exclusive to: distributors, architects, engineers, builders, and all sub-contractors
- Set annual budgets for VIC/TAS in conjunction with Promat Country Manager
- Achieve financial targets for VIC/TAS through the development and execution of activities aligned with delivering our business strategies
- Develop current and future business opportunities in VIC/TAS
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Comply with Quality, Environmental & Safety procedures / work instructions and participate in the Environmental Management Program
- Promote company image by representation at appropriate industry functions
What you'll bring
- At least 5 years’ experience in a sales role, ideally within passive fire protection or the construction industry
- 3 years experience leading a small team
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focused with the ability to engage at all levels
- Ability to work autonomously, unsupervised as well as contribute to a strong team environment
- Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications would be highly regarded
- Existing relationships with residential builders or architects would be advantageous
