About the role
Ursa Benelux is a dynamic and innovative insulation producer committed to excellence. We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team in Desselgem.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our local operations, ensuring efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and strong supplier relationships across various categories, including Spare Parts, Packaging, Services, Local Capex, and more.
Sourcing Strategy
- Develop and execute a robust sourcing strategy for the categories within your responsibility.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in procurement processes.
Cost Optimization
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the Operation Master Plan, focusing on cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve cost reduction targets.
Commercial Negotiation
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable agreements aligned with our business requirements.
- Work closely with legal teams to formalize and manage local contracts with suppliers.
Market Monitoring
- Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics related to your spend scope.
- Continuously gather market intelligence to inform procurement decisions.
Risk Management and Process Optimization
- Ensure dual sourcing strategies are in place to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and assess Procure to Pay process efficiency with vendors.
Communication
- Provide clear and detailed market updates to internal stakeholders and the broader business.
- Foster open and effective communication channels to support procurement objectives.
Reporting
- Establish and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms for the spend scope and related projects.
- Deliver regular reports on procurement performance and savings achieved.
About you
- Master's degree in thinking & acting.
- Proven experience in procurement and sourcing, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful supplier relationship management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Capability to work in an international and multicultural environment
