Summary
|
To plan, organise and control the production facility of the Fibre Cement factory/ plant to produce the required quantity of boards within agreed quality and cost specifications. Ensuring the production team achieves the productivity and efficiency targets - ME & BP targets for the plant. |

What you'll bring
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical/Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA are a plus.
Core / Functional skills (IT, system experience etc)
Excellent business communication skills (written, verbal and presentation). Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Word, SAP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Process thinker.
Strong interpersonal skills – capable of developing strong relationships at all levels of an organisation, and with different levels and technologies, functions across geographies of organisations.
Strong negotiation skills.
Project management and administration – performance vs task driven.
Experience
+8 years plant management with 5 years in a leadership role, operations or industrial management experience will be preferable.
Experience in fiber cement, building materials, or heavy industry is preferred.
Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (green belt or above preferred), and process improvement
A certain level of technical awareness, PLC’s , ideally an understanding of applicable building regulations.
Understanding of mechanical and the electrical engineering, as well as process. .
Understanding of costing, PCO’s
Good understanding productivity costs and KPIs
Understanding of people, high EQ and IQ
