Continuous Improvement Manager

About the Role

As a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, you will play a key role in leading improvement projects at our production site in Delfzijl. You’ll contribute to the development and implementation of the Operational Excellence System and support the local CI roadmap. You will analyze processes, initiate improvement initiatives, and help teams work more efficiently and effectively—with measurable results.

You’ll work closely with colleagues from various departments, facilitate training and workshops, and ensure that improvements are embedded sustainably within the organization.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze current workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Set up and maintain the 3-year master plan and support the annual cost deployment process.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to implement changes.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Use tools like Power BI and Excel to visualize and report performance trends.
  • Document and standardize improvements through SOPs and work instructions.
  • Report on CI progress, KPIs, cost savings, and other project outcomes.

 

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you are:

  • Analytical and curious; you identify opportunities others might miss.
  • Experienced in running CI projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • A strong communicator who can engage and influence others.
  • A team player with the ability to show leadership when needed.
  • Skilled in change management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient with tools like Excel and Power BI for data analysis.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering or business).
  • Green Belt certification (preferred).
  • Affinity with production processes and lean manufacturing.
  • Fluency in Dutch (required), with good knowledge of English (preferred) and German (a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work on-site and participate in on-call services.
