The Digital Lab Project Lead, will be part of the Global Digital Marketing & eCommerce team, based in Belgium, and reporting into the Global Head of Digital Experience.

 

In this time of disruption and change, Etex is moving fast to keep up with customer needs, market trends, to accelerate and remain differentiating and ahead of the competition. New ideas to improve our customer engagement and customer experience are increasing rapidly.

 

For this purpose we are creating a new function and role, to inspire, guide and mobilize the organization in turning ideas in real pilots and experiments.

 

The digital lab project lead is highly experience digital entrepreneur, with a drive, structure and passion to create something-out-of-nothing. Working with the business in workshops to ideate a solution direction, setting up virtual project teams to move Etex into new digital territories, using existing and new technology.

 

The lead will work very closely with other experts in the group digital marketing & ecommerce team, IT, external vendors, business stakeholders and customers to run several pilot projects in parallel. 

 

The lead will guide the definition, structure, design, execution, run and validation of the pilots, ready for assessment to grow or stop and move on to the next pilot. Once ready to grow and scale, the enablement and deployment teams in the digital organization will add the new capabilities to the standard offering and scale it further into our global organization.

 

Roles and responsibilities

 

  • Setup the Digital Lab concept together Global Head of Digital Experience (= direct manager), Chief Digital Officer, Head of R&D and Head of Digital Enablement
  • Define, design and run the processes, comms and way of working of this new function
  • Lead, mobilize and execute multiple digital oriented pilots in parallel
  • Be familiar, curious and ready to lead, experiment and run new concepts, from digital web tools, to blockchain projects, instore VR concept, B2C eCommerce pilots, etc.
  • Create a pull and push model, from responding to immediate conceptual needs, to inspiring the business with new ideas, together with other digital colleagues
  • Communicate & facilitate frequently, externally and internally, with senior stakeholders, customers and digital experts, bridging and bringing people together in a can-do, solution mindset
  • Actively learn and share the latest developments in the digital domain, to ensure we work with the best and latest technology, vendors, and concepts.
  • Work as a team with Digital Product Owners, Digital Architects and key stakeholders the web & ecommerce strategy, roadmap and development based on customer experience journeys, market needs, competition and group directions
  • Constantly anticipate and balance customer & business needs based on your deep understanding of the business, customer and user experience

Required experience

 

Minimum 5 years' experience in Digital Project Management with demonstrable successes & failures

Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading the process of turning ideas into digital solutions

Demonstrated behavior as a mobilizer who get things done and embraces change

Demonstrated behavior as a real team player with focus on execution

 

Language skills

 

English: C1 level or higher

 

Required education

 

Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent by experience

 

Geographic Context and Travel Requirements

 

Up to 30% travel and frequent presence in Belgium (headquarters and IT offices in KOB)

 

Organizational Context    

 

This role will

  • report to the Global Head of Digital Experience
  • potentially a dotted line to the Head of Etex Future Lab
