Payroll Officer

Summary

As an experienced payroll officer you take care of the salary and personnel administration. Your expertise allows you to manage also specific payroll files and work on some interesting projects. You'll join an enthusiastic payroll team and work together with many different stakeholders like HR, Finance, Accounting, our social secretary, etc. 

What you'll do

Salary and personnel administration    
-    Keeping personal data up to date for the calculation of salaries: entering new employees, changes in family situation,...
-    Management ESS/time registration : correct calculation of holiday entitlements cfr. current regulations
-    Manage payroll tool Connect programs : making proposals for automations, functional improvements
-    Guarantee process and automations are compliant to legislation
-    Process input lease cars into payroll
-    Process input insurances into payroll
-    Wage processing
-    Follow-up of suspensions of employment contract
-    Check and validate the output of the social secretary.
-    Supplying input to the social secretariat so that legal obligations can be fulfilled: Dimona, DMFA declarations
-    Review and validate wages and payment of net wages
-    Ad-hoc reporting at the request of HR, Finance or line management (works council reports, absenteeism figures…
-    Act as backup for the assigned files
-    Helpdesk function: first line contact person for all employees, line management and HR by handling all questions and providing     information regarding all applicable regulations applicable to salary calculations and social legislation
-    Support HR information sessions to personnel, eg amendment of legislation
-    Providing information to Finance/Business Controlling

 

Management of specific payroll files    
-    Time credit & part-time
-    Pre-pensions: calculation of additional allowances
-    Follow-up wage attachment
-    Follow-up and declaration of educational leave
-    Follow-up of employment measures: with financial impact for business
-    Introduction of new employees

 

Follow-up of social legislation    
-    Take necessary initiatives to meet changes in social legislation
-    Knowledge sharing of this legislation
-    Supporting audits (NSSO, tax authorities, internal audits)

 

Active participation in specific payroll linked projects    
-    Key-user in payroll-related projects, eg new payroll tools, new time registration systems, new interfaces between social     secretariat and other internal stakeholders (Finance, Purchase, Business Controlling, HR)
-    Re-engineering Payroll processes : improve efficiency and effectiveness
 

What you'll bring

- More than 5 years in a payroll position
- Acquired experience in functionality of Payroll and Time Registration software packages
- Practical knowledge of social legislation
- Practical knowledge of applying taxation to salary
- Bachelor Degree in HR
- Dutch, English, French

- Result Oriented: Payroll officers should strive for a 100% correct payroll. Result oriented team mates is important.
