At Etex we have implemented a new finance organisation that allow us to focus on business partnering on the one-hand and business services on the other-hand. Therefore, we are looking for a Plant finance Business Partner to support our local management team of the production plant (production of fibre cement slates & façade materials)  in Kapelle-op-den-Bos. 
 

A challenge you can't resist

As a finance business partner you will act as a sparring partner and trusted advisor for our Plant manager and Plant Management Team. You provide alle necessary financial information, past, current and forward and support operational decisions based on sound business and financial analyses to improve financial performance. In your role you are closely involved in the strategic operations discussions and you participate in the development of operational objectives in the 3 year Masterplan process. Your key tasks: 

  • You make sound financial analyses, competitive analytics and forecasts to map the performance of the plant.  You lead proactive development of contingency plans, performance improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results.
  • You translate figures into concrete action plans to identify risks, opportunities and to sustainably improve the operational performance (short and medium term). 
  • You own the financial aspects of the Capex process: active participation and final (co)sign-off of capex opportunity and feasibility studies, follow-up of the projects in SAP till the timely and complete closing, activation of the assets, follow-up of the costs, post mortem analysis,…
  • You perform the plant’s monthly/annual closing process in adherence to Etex accounting principles.
  • You monitor the financial results and investigate discrepancies in close collaboration with the appropriate plant management. You challenge the management to clarify these variations.
  • With your forward-looking view you ensure full execution of the current plans, you anticipate additional measures needed to offset any slowdown in the performance.
  • You act as contact person for external auditors, EBS and Internal Control and specifically inventories.
  • You are an active stakeholder  in the local management team and S&OP (demand planning) process.
  • You will report to the Division Finance Business Partner Operations and dotted line to the Plant manager. 


 

Your profile

  • You obtained a master degree in economics, finance, business/industrial engineer. 
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in plant controlling. 
  • You have a strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles—understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP, Analysis for Office or other BI-tools is highly appreciated. 
  • You are a pragmatic and result-driven person with a very analytical, accurate and (self)critical approach.
  • You possess strong communication and presentation skills to clarify the financial status to the management.
  • You possess a strong business acumen and intuition to ensure a proactive partnership with your stakeholders.
  • You are customer oriented and have a high level of service mindedness, but remain in all times a critical thinker.
  • With your innovative approach to continuous improvement you are able to drive change.
  • You are a team player which enables you to work in a constructive and positive way with your colleagues in a multicultural environment.
