The Exteriors and fibre cement manufacturing organisation contributes to this Platform mission by defining and implementing a united mid- and long-term strategy for the fibre cement-based manufacturing with a particular focus on quality, operational excellence, and technology development.
As many of the fibre cement products are finished with a coating (Equitone, Cedral, Eternit product range), controlling our coating processes plays a crucial role in our general production processes and quality requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and processes related to paint application in manufacturing environments.
- Ensure the efficiency, quality, and safety of paint operations, from initial design through production and maintenance.
- Explore technological breakthroughs to elevate our coating standards in the fibre cement manufacturing network.
- Take responsibility for the management of industrial projects from the opportunity study to commissioning and start up.
- Assess and study different technical scenarios to define the most appropriate one to meet the customer, budget, and time schedule expectations.
- Issue the specifications according to customer requirements, analyses the suppliers offers, participate in supplier selection, contract redaction with management and purchasing department.
- Drive and monitor the project realisation. Involve with suppliers and plant team during detailed engineering, safety design, factory acceptance tests, commissioning, validation, and final acceptance tests.
- Support operational teams when some issues which are recurrent or difficult to solve with the plant staff.
- Coordinate the necessary support from the experts in the different technologies through the Technological Experts.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, manage performance by setting expectations and providing feedback, while also actively engage in the development, retention, and motivation of your project team.
What You'll Bring:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering or equivalent by experience in industrial, multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Several years of experience within the field of engineering.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.
