Solution Architect - Finance/Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Solution Architect to join our dynamic team where you are at the heart of an on-going journey within the Etex group to become and remain a world class partner for its people, customers, partners and society. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing innovative solutions within the Finance/Procurement domain that align with our organization's overarching architectural vision. Your deep expertise in SAP and your ability to model complex systems will contribute to the development of robust and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. 

• Solution Design and Modeling: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product owners, software engineers and other architects, to design and deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions. Take ownership of the end-to-end solution architecture process and ensure adherence to architectural principles, standards, and best practices within the Finance/Procurement domain.

• Modeling Expertise: Utilize your extensive experience and proficiency in modeling techniques, such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, C4, UML and other relevant modeling languages, to create accurate and comprehensive architectural models that capture the structure, behavior, and interactions of complex systems. 
• Architecture Implementation: Translate architectural designs into practical solutions by working closely with development teams. Ensure that the chosen technologies, frameworks and platforms align with architectural principles and best practices while addressing the specific needs of the Finance/Procurement domain. Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development and technology evaluation to assess the suitability of different architectural approaches.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams, ensuring alignment with architectural vision and standards.
• Technical Expertise: Apply your deep understanding of SAP to make informed decisions during the solution design process. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative approaches that enhance the performance, scalability, and security of our solutions.
• Architecture Governance: Adhere to established architecture governance processes and standards set by the Enterprise Architects. Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural practices within the team.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with product owners, software engineers, architects, team managers, project managers and other stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate architectural designs and facilitate decision-making processes. Present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in the architecture community to enhance knowledge sharing and best practices around the architecture practices, methodologies, and tools. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and promote innovation in architecture to enhance overall business value.
 

About you

• You have a higher education degree.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or a similar role, with a strong functional background in Finance/Procurement and profound knowledge of SAP is a must. 
• Knowledge of SAP finance & procurement, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur, VIM, Cognos, Serrala, Blackline, BPC is an asset. 
• In-depth knowledge of solution architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
• You have a higher education degree.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or a similar role, with a strong functional background in Finance/Procurement and profound knowledge of SAP is a must. 
• Knowledge of SAP finance & procurement, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur, VIM, Cognos, Serrala, Blackline, BPC is an asset. 
• In-depth knowledge of solution architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Extensive expertise in modeling techniques such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, C4, UML where ArchiMate practical experience is a real asset.  
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Proficiency in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks and platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical architectural solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the field of solution architecture.
• Strong understanding of data models and dataflows.
• You are pro-active and you have a positive mindset. 
• You are a very good listener and capable of influencing people and above all you can build long lasting relationships.
• You can effectively drive people, process and technology changes in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
• You have a good knowledge of English, written as well as spoken.
