About the role
:
The highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect, with a strong focus on architecture modeling, will join our IT team where you are at the heart of an on-going journey within the Etex group to become and remain a world class partner for its people, customers, partners and society. The primary responsibility will be to strengthen our solution architecture capability by leveraging your expertise in modeling complex systems and designing innovative solutions.
The Solution Architect will play a crucial role in shaping and guiding our application landscape to meet the evolving needs of our organization. He/she will be part of the IT Applications Management team and will steer the other solution architects embedded in the various functional IT teams
As our Solution Architect, you will steer a community of architects and other stakeholders from various IT and business departments in Etex.
You will build/deploy the framework for solution architecture and provide guidance for its implementations. You will be following up on new trends in the outside world.
You will be responsible to apply the defined and agreed EA methodologies to execute architecture work and engage in the architecture community.
You will as well safeguard architecture concerns and opportunities during the RFP (Request for Proposal) process.
You will coach and mentor a group of developing/junior architects that are embedded in the various functional IT Teams.
You will manage the solution architecture for our new SAP S/4 HANA cloud-based eco-system, with a strong focus on the add-ons and other integrated solutions (SAP and friends).
Modelling expertise : Utilize your extensive experience and proficiency in modeling techniques, such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, C4, UML and other relevant modeling languages, to create accurate and comprehensive architectural models that capture the structure, behavior, and interactions of complex systems. Apply your experience to define best practices for managing our recently chosen architecture repository and modeling tool.
About you
- You have a Master degree (or similar by experience).
- Proven experience as a Lead Solution Architect or a similar role, with strong emphasis on modeling.
- Extensive expertise in modelling techniques such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, C4, UML where ArchiMate practical experience is a real asset.
- In-depth knowledge of solution architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Private Cloud Edition is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Proficiency in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks and platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical architectural solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the field of solution architecture.
- Strong understanding of data models and dataflows.
- You are pro-active and have a positive mindset.
- You are a very good listener and capable of influencing people, and above all you can build long lasting relationships.
- You can effectively drive people, process and technology changes in a dynamic and complex operationg environment.
- You have a good knowledge of English, written as well as spoken.
