Who we are looking for
Etex are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join a busy EHS Team, based in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire

Reporting line
At Etex we believe that it’s not about who I report to, or who reports to me. It’s about who I can help and who can help me. As the EHS Advisor your expertise means that you will be a valued member of the EHS Team, reporting into the UK EHS Manager. In addition to your direct team you will have regular connections with Plant Manager, and all Etex colleagues.

Role and Responsibilities - Pt 2
• Help grass roots engagement through developing the EHS Champions
• Develop training materials and support programmes that improve EHS competencies
• Develop and lead Safety Improvement Plans that assist the site in becoming zero harm
• Use incident data to trend incidents in order to focus resource on the highest risks
• Work with relevant departments when projects are being planned, implemented and completed
• Promote the continual improvement of relevant environmental and health & safety management systems,
including the simplification of related management system documentation
• Work with Line Managers to improve Risk Assessments and Work Instruction development
• Understand and assist in the implementation of Etex Standards
• Provide EHS advice on Management of Change (MOC) requests
• Actively monitor the Permit to Work process and ensure contractors are working safely
- Be the first line contact for enforcing authorities and other bodies
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 Years' experience in similar role in manufacturing environment
Required Education
GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
Required Certificates
IOSH Membership
Valid UK Driving License
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management desirable but not essential
Work Location
Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire with infrequent travel to other Etex Plants
Geographical Context and Travel Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, from time to time there will be the requirement to travel to other Etex Plants Nationwide.
