The Production Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing or production facility during a designated shift. They ensure that production targets, quality standards, safety regulations, and operational goals are met efficiently in line with local KPI and business objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Attend Production Duty Manager meetings to review team progress and discuss key issues of concern and key business activity
- Ensure all new procedures are understood and implemented and are up to date in our databases systems
- Manage employee relations and be pro-active with the management of people related issues managing them fairly and consistently
- Liaising with Engineering and Quality departments
- Involvement in manufacturing performance meetings
- Fully manage, co-ordinate, improve and optimise maintenance/change over activities
- To ensure all operational resources are utilised in an efficient and effective manner, helping control the site costs
- Ensure that Health and Safety is a core value in everything that is done to ensure that the importance of working safely is realised within the team and best practice is followed
- Organise your people resources on a day-to-day basis to optimise the delivery of the production schedule to fully meet the demands of the internal customer and the schedule
