About the role

  • Accurately quantify the total m2 of materials required and its associated accessories items for projects and liaise with clients and team players regarding value engineering opportunities and facade layout optimization of live projects and projects in tender stage.
  • Using AutoCAD and proprietary company software, review client's design drawings and provide accurate estimation.
  • Produce elevation and detailed sectional drawings of a project when necessary.
  • Ensuring all documentation received from a client is comprehensive enough to provide an accurate estimation.
  • Provide accurate lump sum estimations.
  • Advice on possible quantity implications / variations if design changes.
  • Assist Sales & Technical organization in the transition from estimation to design in projects.
  • Assist in the assessment of any possible improvement areas from the commercial aspect of the business.
  • Liaise with local Sales organization to improve the content of information and the process of handover to the client.
  • Provide technical assistance to the local sales, technical and marketing organization.
  • Provide technical assistance to all our clients/partners.
  • Provide assistance with internal technical projects where required.
  • Assist with updating/producing technical documents when required.
 

About you

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in construction / civil / mechanical / engineering / architecture with a minimum 1 year working experience as a draftsman/estimator in the building sector. Diploma holder with many years of working experience can also be considered.
  • Experience in facade construction and working/studying in an international organization setup is an asset.
  • Able to understand and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
  • Practical, administratively very accurate and have good organizational skills.
  • Have a strong command of MS Office (Excel-Words-Power Point) and Autodesk AutoCAD. Knowledge of other architectural software e.g. ArchiCAD and Revit is an advantage.
  • Good commaned of English language is a prerequisite. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and/or European languages are added advantage.
  • Excellent capacity to plan and organize his/her job and projects and strategies.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team and easy interaction with internal and external colleagues and business associates.
  • Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills dealing with all relevant parties.
  • Must be willing to undertake travel internationally when required.
