Technical Sales Executive

About the role


Your main role are:

To develop, plan, coordinate, promote, specify and sell Promat range of Fire Protection products and systems directly within home market i.e. Malaysia.


Key responsibilities specific to the rol:

- Influence and educate the Promat stakeholders in the different countries in their knowledge and understanding of all Promat products and systems so that they can deliver a fully rounded service to customers across all our product range.

- Establish and build business relationships with key decision makers in the design and specification process to influence their choice of Fire Protection products and systems.

- Influence main and sub-contractors to use and recommend Promat systems in projects.

- Create pull through of business and a 2-way flow of contract information through distributors, main contractors and sub-contractors/applicators in order to build up and maximize contractor relationships.

- Develop, train and motivate Promat stakeholders in the different countries so that they actively promote and sell the entire range and any new products or systems that Promat promote within the region.

- Launch new products by working with PIAP teams so that these products can be sold effectively by the stakeholders.

- Run the day-to-day sales activities.

- Development and execution of Business Plan for your regions.

- Report activities and progress on a weekly/monthly basis, or as required.

- Regular benchmarking Promat Fire Protection versus competition.


About you


What the successful candidate will bring to the team:


- Possess a degree in Engineering, Architectural or Business Administration with a minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in sales. Experience in export related business is an added value.

- Previous commercial experience in building material industries, preferably fire protection preferred.

- Previous experience in export related business is an added value.

- Negotiation and persuasion skills, ability to influence decision makers.

- Excellent customer service approach.

- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated.

- Ability to manage and achieve sales independently and proactively.

- Good command of English Language is a prerequisite. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.

- Excellent capacity to plan and organise his/her job and, projects and strategies.

- Able to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team and easy interaction with internal and external colleagues and business associates.

- Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills dealing with all relevant parties.

- Must be willing to travel 50% of time availability.
