Etex are seeking a Stores Controller to join the Sigmat Team!
Location: Leeds
Salary: Circa £25,000 Depending on Experience
What you’ll do:
MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations Materials) / Stores to ensure an adequate level of identified spares and material is always available for use in the plant. To achieve this, must carry out stock checks, assist in raising purchase orders, record issues and deliveries, receive and conduct a visual inspection of goods, liaise with potential vendors, and maintain stores in an orderly condition.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
- Responsibility for general operation of stores and material stock levels and MRO processes
- Liaising with Purchasing to resolve any material ordering issues
- Working closely with Finance to supervise regular stock management
- Supervising the Stores team
- Audit and process stores KPIs – including Stores Stock Compliance, and Spare Parts booking
- Supervising internal audits
- Taking responsibility for the MRP system
- Managing Vendors and suppliers
- Ensuring spares storage is sufficient and fully traceable
- Managing 100% stock check compliance in a collaborative manner
- Challenging and coaching the team to adhere to booking out procedure to ensure accurate inventory control
- Liaising with production to ensure materials are ready in a timely manner to produce
- Linking with other departments to define or challenge products/service specifications
- Any other tasks commensurate with this post
What you’ll bring:
- GCSE level or equivalent (A-C Maths and English)
- Good computer and numerical skills
- Experience using a CMMS system
- Technical background and plant knowledge to be able to receive and order goods
- A flexible approach to new tasks
- A positive outlook, with a can-do attitude
It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:
- Experience of managing a stores environment
- Good knowledge of local industry and suppliers
- IOSH managing safely
