Summary

In this newly created role, you will join the Executive Team and participate in development and execution of strategic plan to achieve financial and business goals. Responsible for the manufacturing function, you will oversee the operationsat our facilities in Matraville, Altona, Bundaberg, Beenleigh and our Promat site in Adelaide. Key areas of success are safety, customer centricity, cost management, and the development of our people.

What you'll do

  • Appropriately lead and implement agreed business strategies to achieve a zero harm workplace and contribute
  • Be a prominent advocate for our decarbonisation goals and govern local plans to meet milestone dates
  • Deliver on our aims to be the customers best supplier through best service best quality best people
  • Maintain accurate cost forecasts throughout the year, and robust management of any variances to hit annual targets
  • Be an enthusiastic participant in our global CI program and role model the use of Lean management to embed in the organisation
  • Improve the benchstrength of the operations team and develop our teams to drive a good level of internal succession in all roles
  • Be an active participant in the Australian Etex ExCom team and contribute to the business strategies and support strong EBITDA growth ambitions

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, energetic and has the ability to deliver results.

Additionally you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline with 10 years management experience
  • Broad experience in manufacturing operations within a global manufacturing environment (highly regarded) with minimum 2 years in the plasterboard industry
  • Proven expertise in change management and transformational leadership
  • Strong ability to forecast and mitigate disruptions in demand and supply chains
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information
  • Excellent interpersonal and key stakeholder management skills
  • Broad understanding and proficiency in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
