Regional Head of Procurement - APAC

Responsible for Regional procurement spend of apprx EUR250K

Preferred location - Matraville, Sydney Australia

Local Australian contract and salary package

Reports to Global Head of Procurement with dotted line to Regional Head of Finance, EBP APAC.

Must have work-rights in an APAC country, preferably Australia

What you'll do

The Regional Head of Procurement - APAC will spearhead the development and implementation of procurement strategies for the APAC region. This role encompasses leading the regional and local teams, initiating and executing cost-efficiency projects, and supporting operational requirements. Additionally, it involves managing the procurement process and supply base efficiently and effectively, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and developing integrated Procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and sustainability objectives.

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualified or Graduate preferably in Business, Economics or Engineering
  • An MBA or similar would be highly regarded
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in large company within APAC region
  • 4- 6 years of professional experience in project management and / or consulting
  • Ability to provides others with a clear direction and set appropriate standards of behaviour
  • Inspiring leadership skills and motivates and empowers others
  • Strong people development and coaching skills
  • A passion for encouraging organisational and individual responsibility towards the community and environment
  • Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends’
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and demonstrates financial awareness
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills at a senior executive level
