Sustainability Manager

Summary

As our Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Etex Sustainability Roadmap and driving our environmental performance across Australia. Reporting to the APAC Regional EHS & Sustainability Manager, you’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to embed sustainability into operations, product development, compliance, and customer engagement.

This is a hands‑on, influential role suited to someone who thrives on collaboration, problem‑solving, and leading meaningful change.

What you'll do

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of sustainability roadmap initiatives, including projects regarding circularity and sustainable product development
  • Manage compliance and reputational reporting, such as APCO, Modern Slavery, and other external and internal reporting
  • Maintain third‑party product sustainability credentials, such as GreenTag GreenRate and Climate Active certifications and EPDs, including audits and technical assessments
  • Monitor sustainability governance, including legislation, standards, and policy changes, and advise on impacts
  • Develop and deliver sustainability training, and collaborate on cross functional sustainability initiatives with Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain

What you'll bring

  • A professional qualification in a science or engineering discipline related to environment or sustainability
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of sustainability, ideally with experience in a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of environmental legislation, sustainability reporting (eg APCO, Modern Slavery, ASRS), supply chain sustainability, LCA and EPDs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, educate and build strong relationships
  • Strong analytical capability and proficiency with data and software systems
  • Initiative, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset aligned with Etex values and leadership principles
