Etex are seeking a Forklift Driver to join the FSi team!


Measham Based

40 hours per week: Monday – Friday 6am-2pm and 2pm- 10pm on a rotating shift pattern weekly

£11.50 per hour + shift pay for afternoons


What you’ll do:

The primary focus of the Forklift Driver is to pick, receive, load stock and dispatch in line with the company procedures. Also, to ensure that internal stock movements are covered to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process on site

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • To work in accordance with Etex Building Performance’s Environment, Health and Safety policy, Waste management policy and Quality management policy.
  • To carry out the daily pre shift operator checks on all lifting equipment as per the law
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others is adhered to whilst on site
  • Ensure that any delivery drivers follow the site rules regarding safety and PPE use.
  • To assemble / pick, check and load orders onto vehicles for delivery to customers
  • To unload, check and receive orders from suppliers
  • Fill in all necessary goods in and dispatch paperwork to the correct standard as per the company policies and processes
  • Store products in the correct warehouse area following the FIFO policy
  • To report any damages to your line manager and record these damages on delivery notes or other working documents and where necessary aid in the sorting of those products
  • Updating relevant system when required (tablet-based forms)
  • Working closely with internal customers (supply chain, customer services, production) and our logistics partners
  • To maintain a clean and safe work environment following the 5S procedure
  • To maintain stock rotation, where required (FIFO)
  • To liaise with other departments, as required
  • To participate in site training courses to further personal / career development
  • To work at other Etex depots if required with reasonable notice
  • Flexible and willing to work, outside of normal hours to meet operational demands


What you’ll bring:


  • Forklift counterbalance qualification
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Very safety conscious with solid manual handling technique
  • Have a positive outlook, with a can-do attitude


It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • Strong forklift driving skill within a similar environment
