Assembly Build Operative

Etex are seeking a Build Operative to join the EOS team,  based in Newton Aycliffe

What you'll do

Dependent on business requirements the Build Operator can be working a varied environment which may alter daily. Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Manual handling of steel frames
  • Reading technical drawing to manufacture steel to exact drawings
  • Packing and banding packs and materials
  • Use of pallet truck and forklift trucks to manoeuvre materials into loading bays
  • Quality checks for any defects or damage on all products in use.
  • Pre use tool checks
  • Using cordless power tools to assemble steel frames
  • Use of lifting equipment to load steel coils and frames onto assembly tables

What you'll bring

Critical and important 

  • Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent 
  • Basic IT skills - use of tablet to report on EHS
  • Ability to read paperwork and drawings accurately 
  • Good Communication skills and team player
  • Problem solving
  • Good eyesight as the role requires reading of detailed paperwork 
  • Safety awareness 

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • FLT counterbalance license up to 5 tonnes
  • Relevant FLT driving experience, in a heavy load manufacturing environment
