Maintenance Manager

Location: Sobota, next to Poznań

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations, ensure the reliability of equipment and facilities, and maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency. This role is key to ensuring operational continuity, equipment performance, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, including target-setting, performance evaluation, and ongoing coaching.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with legal requirements.

• Equipment Maintenance

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and technical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.

• Facility Management

• Monitor and maintain the technical condition of the facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and structural components.
• Collaborate with external contractors when specialized expertise is required.

• Health & Safety Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and internal safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and provide training on safety procedures.

• Budget Management

• Develop, monitor, and manage the maintenance budget.
• Procure tools, materials, spare parts, and services in a cost-effective manner.

• Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Lead continuous improvement and best-practice initiatives within the maintenance function.

• Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and facility conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and equipment history.

• Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate services provided by external suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
• Assess contractor performance and negotiate service agreements as needed.

• Emergency Response & Troubleshooting

• Lead response efforts during equipment failures or facility-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

• Sustainability Initiatives

• Implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve overall operational efficiency.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with operations, engineering, safety, and other departments to align maintenance activities with broader company objectives.

• Other Responsibilities

• Adhere to internal processes and controls designed to meet statutory requirements, including compliance with audits and GDPR.
• Perform additional tasks consistent with the scope of the role, as reasonably assigned.

Our Requirements regarding the Candidate Profile

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Technical Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, facility management, or technical operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing technical operations.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Technical certifications (e.g. electrical, mechanical, HVAC) are an asset.
• English – Independent / B2 or higher.
• Driving license
