As a Commercial Analyst at Etex, you will play a key part in managing and controlling the day-to-day running of rebates, including accruals, reconciliations, data analysis, validation and processing of claims, and supporting the creation of customer agreements and proposals. You will collaborate closely with commercial teams to ensure our pricing, contracting, and data-driven decision-making are executed to the highest standards, using your technical strengths and business acumen every step of the way.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the rebate claims process: log claims and invoices, resolve queries, validate claims, and set up payments.
- Accrue and analyse data to guarantee accuracy of monthly rebate settings.
- Support month-end closure by reconciling P&L accounts and posting accruals.
- Create and track the status of customer supply agreements and maintain thorough documentation.
- Assist with price execution, especially for third-party customers.
- Calculate monthly rebates and set up contracts with SAP/ERP systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure complete and accurate sales data.
- Continuously improve processes through strong analytical skills, root cause analysis, and solution implementation.
- Provide regular reports to management, helping to foster a data-led approach to decision making.
- Assist audits and promote a safety-first workplace culture.
What you’ll bring:
- Recognised accounting qualification, or part-qualified and working towards one.
- Strong financial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage large, complex calculations with technical competency (Excel proficiency is essential; Power BI desirable).
- Effective communication and teamworking skills within direct and wider commercial functions.
- Experience with rebate, accrual, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Previous relevant experience in a similar commercial or analytical role.
- Initiative, motivation to develop self, and drive for continuous improvement.
