The Shift Electrical Technician is responsible for providing on-shift electrical maintenance across multiple control systems (PLCs, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) at our Stirling site. This permanent, full-time role requires flexibility to work rotating shift patterns including unsociable hours (nights, weekends, and potentially on-call cover). You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8am to 4pm.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Responds to and resolves maintenance requests from the CMMS system.
  • Carries out planned, preventative, reactive and emergency maintenance work.
  • Minimises downtime and supports the site to meet departmental KPI targets.
  • Ensures all work meets Health & Safety standards and risk assessments.
  • Takes part in continuous improvement activities like Kaizen and 5S.
  • Works as an effective member of the Maintenance team.
  • Helps with requests from both Engineering and production departments.
  • Works unsupervised with good understanding of procedures and equipment.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • NC or HNC in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven electrical experience ideally in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with fault-finding and repair on PLCs, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
  • Can work logically and efficiently alone or as part of a team.

 

Desirable: 

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (we can provide training if needed).
  • Experience with planned maintenance systems (CMMS).
  • Strong communicator.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).
  • Flexible and adaptable.
