Application Manager - Primary Aluminium

Join us as International Application Manager - Primary Aluminium, Skamol.

You will join the Aluminium sales team in Skamol, and with us you have the opportunity to shape our expertise in aluminium smelter pot lining applications.

You will work in a global environment with leading industry professionals and develop your professional skills through training and conferences.

What you’ll do

• Act as technical backup and sales support for sales staff visiting primary aluminium smelters with focus on western smelter technology.
• Help strengthen our knowledge and profile as pot lining specialists and support the Smelter potlining Application area, along with our VP for R&D who will continue to act as Alu Application manager along with you.
• Conduct customer visits jointly with Key Account Managers or independently.
• Serve as Application Expert in primary aluminium pot lining and ABF lining, and to some extent casthouse materials.
• Deliver conference presentations and training sessions.
• Manage approval processes for materials with aluminium technology providers.
• Contribute to product development and improvement of related products.
• Support creation of new marketing materials and provide internal training.

What you’ll bring

• Strong technical knowledge of aluminium smelting processes, especially pot lining and ABF lining.
• Process Engineer or similar degree - alternatively relevant commercial education combined with strong technical expertise
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Experience in product development and technical sales support is an advantage.
• Experience with application management, technical sales, market research, business development and project management
• Highly motivated and results driven with a high energy level – has a bias for proactive action
• Preferable familiar with ANSYS or similar.
• Ability to travel 60-100 days per year to customers, conferences and exhibitions worldwide
• Language: English

Location

As this is a global role with global customers you can be based in Europe or the Middle East (we are flexible depending on candidate profile), but to ensure the best possible cooperation with your manager we prefer that you can work out of Denmark part of the time.
