Your Role:

• Be the technical expert and key application partner for primary aluminium smelters worldwide, with a focus on western smelter technology, pot lining, and ABF lining
• Provide expert technical backup and sales support—onsite and remotely—for key customer projects, in tandem with our Account Managers
• Conduct customer visits, technical audits, and industry conference presentations
• Lead and deliver product training, workshops, and internal coaching
• Help manage technical approval processes with technology providers and drive best-practice product development
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Sales to shape and evolve our product portfolio
• Travel internationally (approx. 60–100 days/year) to connect with clients, support installations, and represent Skamol at major industry events

What You’ll Bring:

• 5–10 years' experience in process engineering or technical application management—ideally in heavy/process industry
• 2–3 years’ hands-on experience in relining or projects linked to primary aluminium smelters (potlining expertise is a must)
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Factory Engineering, or a similar discipline
• Strong familiarity with aluminium smelting processes (esp. pot lining and ABF), and confident presenting technical concepts
• Proven history supporting technical sales, product development, or B2B industrial partnerships
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English; additional languages a plus
• Advantage: familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS)
• Strong “self-starter” energy, resilience, and curiosity—a hands-on problem solver
• Flexibility to travel extensively; preferred base in Denmark (relocation possible), but open to outstanding candidates from the EU/Middle East
