Summary

Are you a finance professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Join our team at Etex Shared Service Center Vilnius as a General Ledger Team Lead! In this role, you will manage a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Etex policies and IFRS/local regulations. You’ll drive performance, provide coaching, and optimize processes, making a real impact in a dynamic multinational environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of GL Accountants responsible for day to day accounting activities which may include maintenance of a complete and accurate General Ledger and preparation of financial reporting in line with Etex policy and local/IFRS accounting regulations
  • Establish team priorities, behaviours and deliverables
  • Drive strong performance management in the team through clear expectations, performance evaluations and feedback
  • Proactively develop the capability of the team through strong development plans and coaching, drive employee engagement
  • Ensures all team members understand and are working to GBS standards of performance
  • Drive compliance within processes and ensure process controls are in place as appropriate
  • Perform monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure any reconciling items are addressed timely
  • Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisors, Business Controllers and other third parties, meeting their expectations and adhering the deadlines
  • Kye user responsibility or at least one entity accounting
  • Review processes in order to implement changes that will result in a more efficient and effective process
  • Perform special assigned projects
  • On-boarding new employees and train the team, especially on new tasks, in cooperation with HR, GL Manager and other team leaders

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting operations in a multinational environment (preferably in Shared Service Center). At least 3 years in General Ledger, in-depth knowledge of accounting practices
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and industry standards
  • SAP experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify errors, patterns, and trends
  • Proven ability to drive team performance with a focus on quantitative and qualitative metrics
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
  • Earlier Etex experience is an asset
  • Professional level of English required, knowledge of any other European language is a plus
  • Ability to express himself / herself in a clear, respectful and convincing way, both verbally and in written
