We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Internal Control department. If you're a university student pursuing a degree in Economics, Business, or a related field, this is your opportunity to explore the exciting world of operational and financial risk identification, control implementation, and framework updates.

What you'll do

  • To promote an Internal Control culture throughout the main processes (Purchase To Pay, Order To Cash, Inventory, Cash & Banks, Financial Statement Closing, Fixed Assets & Human Resources) by having meetings with process owners and explaining the (new) Internal Controls
  • To review the Group Internal Control Framework: updating existing Internal Controls for the Group at global level, in close cooperation with Senior Management
  • To follow-up on control deficiencies and their corresponding action plans raised by the External Auditor and by the Group Internal Audit department, in close cooperation with the Control Owner
  • To prepare status reports for Executive Committee / Senior Leaders on the Internal Controls implementation
  • To perform controls at global level and follow up with control owners

What you'll bring

  • Student at university with academic background in Economics, Business or related field
  • Proficient level of English
  • Knowledge of other Dutch, Spanish, French language is an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Eager to learn
  • Open for new digital / automation skills
  • Strong ability to communicate, both in written and verbally

Duration of assignment:

(At least) 3 months. The exact start date and working schedule is open for discussion. Possibility to work part-time as well as prolong internship after 3 months.
