About the role

We are looking for a passionate Country Total Rewards Manager (Expert) to join our Compensation and Benefits team in Belgium. In this newly created role, you’ll be implementing, embedding, and managing our regional Rewards strategy, initiatives, and benefits offering. Reporting to the Regional Total Rewards Manager, you’ll also play a crucial role in the development of reward policies and guidelines, supporting the annual compensation cycle and providing external benchmarking insights.



  • Provide support and expert advice to HR Partners and managers on the local compensation and benefits initiatives
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align and rollout the Total Rewards program across the country
  • Support the annual compensation cycle including salary reviews and bonus processes
  • Undertake appropriate benchmarking exercises including benchmarking salaries using external surveys
  • Coordinate and manage the job evaluation processes ensuring alignment with the global company framework
  • Manage and administer the flexible benefits and benefits processes including company cars scheme, insurance, company credit cards, mobile phones, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and 3rd party suppliers and manage contract renewals
  • Ensure that the Employee benefits schemes are attractive and  in line with the current legislation and market trends
  • Provide expert advice to the Country HR team and local management during negotiations with unions
  • Respond to employee inquiries providing accurate advice and information
  • Review, monitor, and develop the reward policies and guidelines ensuring they are fully embedded across the country
  • Execute ad-hoc reporting for special projects or requests



About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Total Rewards including compensation and benefits
  • Sound knowledge of reward compliance and regulatory requirements in Belgium
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook and advanced knowledge of in MS-Excel
  • Experience working with salary surveys and benchmarking data
  • Experience in job evaluation, pay benchmarking (ideally Korn Ferry Hay  )
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and research skills with great attention to detail
  • Languages required: Dutch and English essential, French desirable
  • Ability to travel across our sites in Belgium when required
