Head of Purchasing - Direct Materials plays a pivotal role in advancing the overall direct materials strategy of the organization by contributing to several key areas such as Cost Optimization and Efficiency, Supply Chain Resilience and Risk Mitigation, Innovation and Competitive Advantage and Cross-functional Collaboration and Alignment. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Play a key role overseeing all aspects of purchasing related to direct materials within the organization.
  • Lead the direct materials purchasing team.
  • Develop and implement category strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Expertise in category management, risk management, procurement processes and leadership abilities, all combined with strong focus on sustainability.
  • Strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with financial management, while also demonstrating strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and effective stakeholder engagement.
