What You'll Do:

  • Define and implement the Raw Materials Category Management Strategy using Etex’s 8-step framework in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Lead sourcing strategy execution, including major RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify portfolio optimization opportunities and engage R&D and manufacturing accordingly.
  • Support innovation projects by sourcing and procuring raw materials needed for new product development.
  • Drive purchasing risk mapping and mitigation, including stock level optimization, substitution mapping, and crisis management.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, resolve conflicts, monitor vendor performance, and communicate market changes to senior management.
  • Contribute to responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives, including Scope 3 emissions reduction and social compliance with suppliers.
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, track market trends, and identify cost reduction or optimization projects.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Min. 5 years of experience in purchasing of Raw Materials in international context with proven record of Strategy Management.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, conduct data analysis, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles, including cost analysis, negotiation strategies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to streamline processes, track purchasing activities, and manage supplier databases.
  • Excellent financial acumen to understand budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience in conducting supplier evaluations and performance assessments to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee procurement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and resolve conflicts.
